The Dubnoff Nonpublic School Program provides special education services to students, ages 11-22, in grades 6-12 who have emotional, learning and developmental disabilities. Our program combines prescriptive individualized instruction with small group instruction. Dubnoff School works towards mastery of state standards to meet the educational needs and curriculum requirements of our students. An alternative, functional curriculum prepares students who are not on a diploma track for post high school by developing their social, basic academic, vocational and citizenship skills.Our program utilizes a structured behavior management program that emphasizes positive reinforcement, personal responsibility and accountability.The school offers individual counseling, language and speech where applicable, and transition services by appropriately licensed/credentialed staff. Transportation is available for students who fall within routes provided by the school, and based upon availability of seats on vans. Other transportation arrangements can be made. Dubnoff School actively prepares students for mainstreaming back into public schools, occupational centers, community colleges, and jobs in the community.Workability and Department of Rehabilitation programs are available for students who qualify.
Additional Academic Support Sometimes students need extra assistance to succeed in the classroom. Dubnoff School offers tutoring to students who would benefit from some extra time and personalized assistance. Tutoring is available daily during lunchtime. Certificated teachers, aides and peer tutors, on a sign up basis, provide tutoring for students who require assistance during the school day. After school tutoring from certificated teachers and aides is available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:45-3:45, on a sign up basis for students who are available after normal school hours

Allison Reid has been with Dubnoff School for 5 years. She is dedicated to helping our students improve their lives behaviorally, emotionally and academically. Ms. Reid encourages students to pursue continuing education during and after high school, and provides excellent guidance in life skills, social skills and emotional growth.
Dubnoff School employs certificated special education teachers, many of whom have multiple credentials. All employees receive ongoing training in instructional methods and modalities, positive behavior support and critical reinforcement, district and state policies and procedures, first aid/CPR and emergency response training, and more.
